My best advice if this client wants aboard now is to let your mom do the work while you get the proper training. You should probably structure your business to make your mom a partner rather than an employee (better savings) I've siblings and friends do partnerships that don't work out..but good news.. Mom/child teams work good. Who would screw over their mom or visa versa? For now and the interim you focus on what you do best ..Marketing and get your training in on the side. Most of this business in the beginning is about marketing and referrals so you have that advantage. If you didn't have your mom I would tell you to put off starting this for about a year and get the necessary training you need. You and your mom can work together using various solutions such as remote access, web based PM software, etc. You will want to research the various start up things you will need, have your contracts ready, your Business Associate Agreements ready and of course a good compliance plan. Good luck to you!
